Product Introduction

The DFW series high-voltage cable tap boxes are widely used for node connections in 35kV, 25kV, and 10kV cable systems. They are the primary electrical equipment used to collect and distribute power after it exits the switchgear. The cable connectors in the tap boxes feature high-grade insulation made of imported rubber that provides a tight, encapsulated insulation covering, leaving no exposed live parts. In switchgear-equipped tap boxes, all switches are SF6-insulated load break switches.

The DFWV tap-off box is designed for outdoor, maintenance-free operation and boasts high safety and reliability. It features an IP33 protection rating, and its underground tap connectors can withstand flooding. This product is widely used in distribution networks serving urban industrial zones, residential communities, commercial centers, mining areas, and large enterprises in industries such as steel, automotive, petroleum, chemical, and cement, as well as other venues. It is also ideal for urban grid renovation projects, significantly reducing costs associated with electrical equipment and investments while enhancing power supply reliability.

▷ Ambient temperature: Maximum temperature: +40℃, minimum temperature: -30℃;

▷ Wind speed: approximately 34 m/s (not exceeding 700 Pa);

▷ Humidity: The daily average relative humidity shall not exceed 95%, and the monthly average relative humidity shall not exceed 95%.

▷ Seismic resistance: Horizontal acceleration no greater than 0.4 m/s²; vertical acceleration no greater than 0.15 m/s².

▷ Installation site inclination: no more than 3°;

▷ Installation environment: The surrounding air shall not be significantly contaminated by corrosive gases, flammable gases, water vapor, or the like.

Product Features

▷ Compact structure, small footprint, easy installation, convenient operation, and maintenance-free;

▷ The enclosure is entirely made of metal steel plates or stainless steel plates with a thickness of 2 mm. It features an anti-corrosion design and special paint treatment, ensuring reliable operation even in harsh environments (service life > 30 years).

▷ All-weather, fully protected outdoor design, suitable for high-temperature, extreme cold, flood immersion, and high-dust environments;

▷ Fully sealed and fully insulated design—no insulation clearance required. All high-voltage live parts are connected via prefabricated cable connectors made of silicone rubber or EPDM, effectively ensuring personal safety.

▷ Flexible combinations allow the number of outgoing branches to reach up to seven, and can be paired with SF6 load switches to form a ring network power supply, fully meeting various wiring requirements.

▷ The cable connector can serve as a switch, allowing live plugging and unplugging while carrying a load, and capable of interrupting a load current of 200A.

▷ After installing the fault indicator, circuit faults can be quickly detected. It requires a small one-time investment, reduces cable length, doesn't occupy floor space, and saves money.
