Product Introduction
The GCS-type low-voltage withdrawable switchgear (hereinafter referred to as the “device”) is a low-voltage withdrawable switchgear designed and developed by a joint design team from two ministries, in response to the requirements of industry authorities, a wide range of power users, and design institutes. It conforms to China’s national conditions, boasts high technical performance indicators, can meet the needs of the evolving power market, and is competitive with currently imported products. This device has now been widely adopted by power users.
This equipment is suitable for power distribution systems in industries such as power plants, petroleum, chemical engineering, metallurgy, textiles, and high-rise buildings. In large-scale power plants, petrochemical facilities, and other environments with a high degree of automation that require interfaces with computers, this low-voltage complete switchgear is used in power generation and supply systems operating at three-phase AC frequencies of 50 (60) Hz, with rated working voltages of 380 V, 400 V, and 660 V, and rated currents up to 4,000 A. It is employed for power distribution, centralized motor control, and reactive power compensation.

Operating environment
▷ The ambient air temperature shall not exceed +40℃ nor fall below -5℃, and the average temperature over any 24-hour period shall not exceed +35℃.
▷ For indoor installation and use, the altitude of the installation location must not exceed 2000 m.
▷ The relative humidity of the surrounding air should not exceed 50% at the maximum temperature of +40℃, but higher relative humidity levels should be permissible at lower temperatures (e.g., 90% at +20℃), taking into account the potential for condensation that may occasionally occur due to temperature fluctuations.
▷ During equipment installation, the tilt angle relative to the vertical plane shall not exceed 5°.
▷ The equipment should be installed in a location free from severe vibrations and impacts, as well as in an environment that does not pose a risk of corrosion to electrical components.
Product Features
▷ The main frame is made of 8MF open-section steel profiles. The two side surfaces of the profiles are equipped with mounting holes—each measuring 9.2 mm in diameter—with module dimensions of 20 mm and 100 mm, allowing for flexible and convenient internal installation.
▷ The main frame assembly is designed in two configurations: a fully assembled structure and a partially welded structure (including side frames and cross beams), allowing users to choose according to their needs.
▷ The various functional compartments of the device are mutually isolated, with the compartments divided into functional unit compartments, busbar compartments, and cable compartments. Each compartment has a relatively independent function.
▷ The horizontal main busbar adopts a rear-mounted, flat arrangement to enhance its resistance to electromagnetic forces, which is a fundamental measure for ensuring that the device’s main circuit has high short-circuit withstand capability.
▷ The cable compartment is designed to allow for easy cable entry and exit from both the top and bottom.
