KYN28A-12 Metal-Clad, Middle-Position, Withdrawable Switchgear

Product Introduction

KYN28-12 indoor AC metal-clad switchgear with center-mounted design. It is suitable for three-phase AC power systems with a rated voltage of 12kV and a rated frequency of 50Hz, and is used for receiving and distributing electrical energy as well as for controlling, protecting, and monitoring the circuit.

This product complies with the requirements of GB3906 “AC Metal-Enclosed Switchgear for Rated Voltages from 3 to 35 kV,” GB/T11022 “Common Technical Requirements for Standards of High-Voltage Switchgear and Control Equipment,” IEC60298 “AC Metal-Enclosed Switchgear and Control Equipment Rated 1 kV and Above up to and Including 52 kV,” and DL/T404 “Technical Specifications for Indoor AC High-Voltage Switchgear.”

Model Meaning

Operating environment

▷ Ambient air temperature: Upper limit +40℃, lower limit -10℃ in most regions;

▷ Altitude: 1000m;

▷ Relative humidity: daily average no greater than 95%, monthly average no greater than 90%;

▷ Vapor pressure of water: The daily average shall not exceed 2.2 kPa, and the monthly average shall not exceed 1.8 kPa.

▷ Condensation may occur when the temperature drops suddenly. Given its resistance to contamination, this product is suitable for the following two environments that are more severe than normal conditions:

▷ Condensation occurs infrequently (averaging no more than twice per month) and involves mild contamination;

▷ Condensation generally does not occur (averaging no more than twice per year) but there is relatively severe contamination;

▷ Locations free from fire hazards, explosion risks, and corrosive gases or other harsh conditions that could severely damage metals and compromise insulation;

▷ Locations without severe vibrations, bumps, or vertical tilts exceeding 8°;

Note:

1. Storage and transportation are permitted at -30℃.

2. For areas with an altitude exceeding 1,000 m, refer to JB/Z102 “Technical Requirements for High-Voltage Electrical Equipment Used in Areas at Different Altitudes.” When the altitude does not exceed 2,000 m,

Low-pressure auxiliary equipment does not require any special measures.

3. When the actual operating conditions differ from those described above, the user and the manufacturer shall negotiate and reach an agreement.

Product Features

▷The switchgear consists of two main parts: a fixed cabinet body and a withdrawable section (handcart). The cabinet enclosure and the partitions separating various functional units are all constructed by bolted connections using aluminum-zinc coated steel sheets. The switchgear’s enclosure achieves an IP4X protection rating, while the protection rating for each compartment is IP2X. The switchgear features overhead cable entry/exit, cable entry/exit via cable trenches, and left-right interconnection capabilities. Depending on the intended application, switchgear units can be arranged in various configurations to form a complete power distribution system that meets the design requirements. Both installation and commissioning of this switchgear can be carried out from the front side, allowing it to be installed against a wall, thereby saving floor space and reducing investment costs.
